For grown-ups
Your child just explored how their senses work and practised bringing their body back to a “just right” calm zone. The habit they’re taking home is C.A.L.M. — a gentle self-regulation toolkit: Cozy quiet spot, A big slow breath, Little squeeze or stretch, My own pace. A lovely way to reinforce it: name a calm tool together the next time things feel big.
Some children feel sounds, lights or textures more strongly than others — and that is a completely normal, okay part of being human. This is not a diagnosis and there is nothing wrong with a child who senses the world more intensely. Calming “just right” strategies help every child feel comfortable and ready to learn and play.

Sensory comfort and self-regulation are part of whole-child care — alongside vision, hearing, growth, sleep, focus, mood and more. SKIDS supports these needs in a warm, non-labelling way. Think of it as the holistic vaccine: care that begins before the cry.
